I'm not a wedding photographer
Weddings frighten the life out of me. There's so much expected of you as a photographer. You have to wear many hats: portrait, candid, posed, flash, natural light, weather man (the list goes on). You're also working with the expectations of the bride and groom, so you need to be on the ball and make sure everyone understands what's expected on the day. It's a tough industry to develop a personal style. You're at the mercy of other people's wedding photo references: "I want this and this and that, but in Dublin, not Barbados." All this to say, I don't generally do weddings. But some people know me and my style, and give me their trust. Which I take very seriously, by not taking the day very seriously.
